Spain, Italy and France!!!
Day 6 - This was our last day! We went to Nice France we mostly walked around and saw the City we hiked up and went to a look out of the city it was amazing views of Nice. It was an awesome trip. Lots of cool history to see. We had lots of fun with the Kay's. We had lots and lots of good laughs. And it was a much needed break from life!!!! Day 5. We were in Florance it was a beautiful city and had lots of cool Church's to see. Florance is also known for there leather. Lots of good shopping. We also went to Pisa and saw the leaning tower. It was amazing how much it was really leaning. It was a nice area we ended the day off with Ice cream of course.
On Day Four we were in Rome!!! This was a awesome day! We got off our ship and had a guide waiting to take us to Rome it was about a 1 hour drive from where our ship was our guide was great he could speak English and took us where ever we wanted to go and we stayed for as long as we wanted our first stop was the Colosseum it was amazing to see! It's hard to be live that they could build something like this without modern equipment and it only took them 8 years! It was build really well all of the brick work was amazing they also covered this with marble but was stolen as the empire fell. They had lots of cool sculptures and artifacts at the Colosseum. We were here for quite a while then went to check out a few other cool places in the city. It was cool driving around Rome you would all of the sudden just run into really old buildings in the middle of town. These are a few photos. We went to the Vatican it was really neet to see. My sister in law took most of the pictures and is making us a CD so I don't have to many there but it was cool!!!
We ate lunch in Sorrento for John's B-day it was really good! I had some really good pizza. I think we ate more Pizza and Italin Ice cream on this trip good thing we walked so much to burn off all of those calories. After lunch we took a small boat over to the island of Capri. We took a taxi to the top of the Island and it was a beautiful view. We took is cool train thing down the mountain. It was a good day!!
The day the we went to Naple, Pompeii, Sorrento and the Island of Capri was an awesome day!!! It was my father in Laws B-day what a good day for a birthday! We saw tons of cool stuff. We ported in Naples we didn't get to see to much of this city because we got off the boat headed strait for the local train station and took the train to Pompeii. This city was buried for 1,700 years under 20 ft of volcanic ash. It was awesome the ash preserved the city. We saw how they once lived we also saw many things that they have discovered this included mummified body's of the people that you can see it was crazy they even found a dog. You can see that the people were trying to cover themselves from the ash. The city was huge with a population of 25,000 people was a lot for back then. They had tons of beautiful sculptures and mosaics that were preserved in this city!It was one of our favorite places that we saw!!
This was when we were at Valletta, Malta. It was a beautiful place we were able to take a boat into the Mediterranean sea and see some really cool stuff. My pictures didn't work on the ocean so these are pictures of the city! This was one of the coolest places that we ported into. We woke up at 6:00AM to watch the boat come into this port it was so pretty and cool to see the old city and how they still live today!!We took the local bus and train it was crazy to not be able to understand what anyone was saying. This was our most relaxed day and we just kind of spent it looking around.
Barcelona Spain
We recentley went on a Cruise through the Mediterranean!! We had tons of Fun I will post a picture of each place we went! We flew into Barcelona Spain from there we left and were on the sea all day wich was really nice because of the time diffrence and flying for a day we were extremley tired. The 1st day we went to Malta Italy. Day 2 Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento and The Island of Capri Italy. Day 3 We went to Rome & the Vatican. Day 4 we went to Florence and Pisa Italy. Day 5 we went to Nice France. Day 6 back in Barcelona Spain.
